soundtoy
Just backing up the thanks mentioned by Scott. We're shocked by the positive response we've received (especially regarding Orbs) and would like to thank everyone who visits frequently, or those who've just randomly stumbled upon our site by chance.
We've been getting lots of submissions for the Orbs gallery and that's a huge boost of motivation for the team. Thank you for the love and we hope your Orbs loops found a special home on your blogs and websites.
The team will be in talks about what improvements we can make to the Gallery interface so that it's easier to browse, maybe sample, and if possible leave comments.
Just added a style picker for ORBS, which basically allows you to choose from two different sets of instruments. Also increased the performance slightly, but not by much. FYI it can be really laggy in the editor, but once you submit into a gallery or just on a blog to preview, it's not so bad. I was reading this interesting article about browser performances on OS X/XP, and apparently Flash player runs about 6 times faster on a XP machine.
The DYSPXL team came to the conclusion that user generated content is an area with rapid growth in games and after seeing someone create a video of their SoundClock Beta, we saw something with potential and momentum for us.
Hey folks. "Orbs" aka new visual drum-machine that I've been working on for last few weeks, has finally been released. However this release was bit rushed, so you may notice someting odd here and there. If you have any suggestions/complaints feel free to comment here. Originally, this soundtoy had 2 sound styles to choose from, but I've decided to only showcase 1 style for now. I am also planning on optimizing the performance more for the next release. More features are yet to come. Stay tuned for updates.
