We're currently in production of a new flash game. The title may change later, but it's called "Card RPG" for now. It will feature user accounts to store progress data, ranking, as well as quick play in case someone wants to try out before registering. Hit read more for screen shots and demo.
We've been lucky enough to have Hydro selected as the final nominee for "Best Art Direction in Student Game Production" category. The 2nd Annual Elan Awards is taking place here in Vancouver tonight with creator of Family Guy, Seth MacFarlane as a host of the show. It will be an exciting night for the members of DYSPXL. We'll post the result this weekend.
No, we didn't win. In fact, none of the three teams, including ourselves won anything. We still had really good time there, despite all technical difficulties that happened during the show. Seth MacFarlane was hilarious. The jokes were damn offensive, but really really funny. My team member recorded a video clip, so we might post it up on youtube later.
I'm currently working on a new visual drum-machine which will incorporate elements from SoundClock and Growth. It will support features that we failed to add for SoundClock (that's why it's stopped at "beta" stage) such as the user submission tool. We're also aiming for blog capability, so users can export their creation and embed them right into their blog. Stay tuned for more update.
