MacBook Air!
Steve Jobs has done it again. As usual they've managed to keep everything confidential until today. Good job Steve. It looks totally different from what I expected and I mean that in a best way possible. It's also nice to see an option for SSD instead of Micro HD, although it's quite costly upgrade ($1024 CDN more as opposed Micro HD.) They've also added a new feature called Remote Disc to replace the CD/DVD drive entirely. Basically it connects to slot driver of other computer wirelessly. Pretty cool.
On a side note, they have also released Time Capsule which is a wireless hard drive optimized for Time Machine. I've never used Time Machine, simply because 99% of the data it's going to store will probably be useless to me. Regardless, for a wireless HD with 500GB and 1TB capacity, I think the price point for Time capsule is pretty reasonable. I mean sure, you could probably build your own wireless HD for half of that, but a lot of people don't want to go through the trouble of setting it up. What's great about about Apple and its product is it just works right out of the box. I know that's not always true, but in most cases, they are better at doing that than the rest of the market.
One last thing. For those of you who owns iPod Touch, I suggest that you download the latest patch. I'm still a classic Nano user, but a friend mine told me that with the latest upgrade, you can use Google Map in your iPod Touch. There's more addition like mail and weather, but that can't beat Google Map. 350MB update for OSX 10.5.2 should be coming out soon as well.
